Booze

Hooch, booze, wine, beer, ale, grog, tipple, intoxicant, inebriant, snifter, bevvy, stimulant, beverage, poison, liquid refreshment, home brew.......just a short list of boozy terms I have come across over the years. Please let me know if you would like the recipe or more details.

Coffee Wine

Easy to make, easy to drink as a post-prandial;. The hardest part is waiting from between 9 months and a year until it is ready

Crab Apple Liqueur

If you are a fan of sloe gin & fruit liqueurs, I recommend this. It's intense with the taste of crab apples and you will end up with a deliciously golden liqueur with a rich taste. Perfect for a cold winter's evening.

Damson Brandy

Seriously fruity and warming but a hidden strength

Damson Gin

As above but still retaining that lovely juniper taste of gin

Parma Violet Gin

If like me you remember scoffing these at school, time to move on to the grown up version with gin. Still retains that Parma violet taste but with gin

Plum Wine

Patience pays off with this beautifully coloured soft wine. Very drinkable

Rhubarb and Strawberry Vodka

I made this for the first time this year (2024) and will definitely be making it again. Just delicious

No list of home-made hooches is complete without this famous brew. So many recipes out there but I have my own favourite

Horseradish Vodka

No - you read this correctly. This is a nip for serious drinkers only. Preparation almost requires an NBC suit as apparently, the fumes from horseradish when peeled are APPARENTLY equal to CS gas. I feel this in my feet first when imbibing (I'm serious) but a really individual liqueur that is like nothing else on earth.
